ODM & OEM Wire Harness Custom Manufacturing
Linkssor accepts ODM and OEM wire harness programmes in five commercial models: build to drawing build to drawing, build to sample, engineering-to-order with DFM support, private-label ODM where we own the design, and consignment assembly on customer-supplied material. Manufacturing runs under IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 on our Dongguan site.
Most international buyers arrive with an incomplete package — a drawing with no connector part numbers, a sample with no drawing, or a connector list with no lengths. Our job is to close those gaps with engineering questions, not to hide behind a quotation form.

At minimum
- A photograph or sketch of the harness
- Approximate length and number of branches
- Connector type or a photo of each connector
- Annual or first-order quantity
Ideal package
- 2D drawing with cut lengths and branch dimensions
- BOM with connector/terminal part numbers
- Wire gauge and insulation requirement
- Test specification and labelling convention
- Applicable standard (IATF 16949, customer-specific or national standard)
Also accepted
- A finished sample for reverse engineering
- A 3D CAD routing model
- A competitor harness to be improved
- Existing drawings in PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or XLS

Requirement review
Day 0–1
We review what you sent and return an engineering question list plus a price indication.
Design & DFM review
Day 1–3
Connector, wire, seal and routing review. Where applicable we run stress simulation and propose improvements.
Process design
Day 3–5
Cut lengths, crimp settings, test parameters, forming-board and fixture design.
Product & process validation
Day 5–12
First-article inspection, crimp micro-section, 100% electrical test, dimensional report.
Approval to volume
After approval
Sample approval locks the criteria; the part transfers to volume lines with the same process settings.
IATF scope disclosure. Our IATF 16949:2016 certificate covers manufacturing of wire harness and excludes product design under Clause 8.3. Design, simulation and connector-development work is performed by Shenzhen Linkssor Technology Co., Ltd., holder of three software copyrights and one utility model patent. For design-responsible programmes we agree in writing which party owns which element of the design record.

- Approved drawing or a drawing set we produced for your approval
- First-article inspection report (FAI) with dimensional and crimp data
- Crimp cross-section micro-analysis image per terminal type
- Electrical test record (continuity, pin-out, and HIPOT where specified)
- Material and component declaration sheet
- Certificate of conformity referencing the applicable standard
- Traceability record keyed to lot and date code
FAQ
What is the difference between ODM and OEM here?
In OEM programmes you own the design record and we manufacture to it. In ODM programmes we co-develop or own the construction and supply it to your specification and brand — including connector selection and waterproof-connector design where required.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, and we prefer to sign before drawings are sent. Note that your drawing files are handled by named engineers only.
Can you work with customer-supplied connectors or cable?
Yes — consignment assembly is accepted. We will confirm inspection criteria for incoming material and cost the handling separately.
What if I only have a physical sample and no drawing?
That is a standard reverse-engineering job. See Build to Sample, which covers measurement, connector identification and the equivalency report we return.
Can you manufacture a harness we currently buy from another supplier?
Yes, and we will document equivalency rather than just claiming it. Send the sample, the drawing if available, and the points where the current part has caused problems.
