Wire Harness Manufacturing FAQ

There is no single MOQ — it depends on connector and terminal availability and on set-up cost. Prototype and low-volume batches are accepted. The practical floor is set per part number and quoted individually, and we will tell you the quantity at which the unit price stops improving.

5–7 working days for a typical harness where connectors are in stock. If a connector must be sourced from overseas distribution, the transit time is stated separately in the quotation.

Quotations separate piece price, tooling (forming board, test fixture, custom connector tooling) and any engineering charge. Volume tiers are given so you can see where the price breaks fall.

Terms are agreed per programme. Typical arrangements for new customers are a deposit with the balance against the bill of lading, and we ship EXW, FOB or by express courier depending on volume and urgency.

Both. We work directly with OEM and ODM buyers and also supply through trading partners where the buyer prefers that structure — the drawings and quality requirements drive the process either way.

PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES and Excel BOMs. Vector PDF or native CAD is preferred because it removes transcription risk on dimensions.

That is our build to sample service. We measure cut lengths and branch geometry, identify connectors, terminals, seals and wire, then produce a drawing for your approval before production.

Yes. Inches and millimetres are both handled; the unit is declared on the drawing and carried through to the inspection report.

Yes, and this is where our engineering software helps most. Send the failed part along with detail on the failure location. We assess branch geometry, strain relief and crimp quality and propose a specific change.

Yes. We hold a utility model patent (ZL 2025 2 1004104.X) for a waterproof connector with a self-locking mechanism, and we support application-specific connector development including tooling.

Yes — IATF 16949:2016 certificate 0597346, held by Dongguan Linkssor Automotive Wiring Harness Co., Ltd., valid 12 February 2026 to 11 February 2029. The certified scope is manufacturing of wire harness and excludes product design under Clause 8.3.

No, and we state that plainly. Clause 8.3 product design is excluded from the certified scope. Design and simulation work is carried out by Shenzhen Linkssor Technology Co., Ltd., which holds three software copyrights and one patent.

Yes. Customer audits, second-party audits and pre-award factory visits can be arranged at the Dongguan manufacturing site.

Certificate of conformity, dimensional and inspection report where specified, electrical test record, crimp cross-section analysis for the terminal types used, and material declaration. Traceability is maintained from component lot to carton.

Yes, and we prefer to sign before drawings are exchanged. Your drawing files are handled by named engineers only.

Agreed per programme in writing. Typically the design record transfers to the buyer on payment of the development charge; we retain rights to our own patented mechanisms and to tooling we manufacture.

Yes. Scheduled call-off with agreed buffer stock is standard for repeat programmes, and it is one of the main reasons buyers consolidate harness supply with a single manufacturer.

English and Chinese. Technical correspondence, drawings and inspection reports are issued in English for overseas programmes.
